Don't have much time for recreational reading these days, but the impending war is on my mind. I thought I'd take a peek at what Chomsky has to say about it. http://monkeyfist.com/ChomskyArchive/interviews

I went to two of his lectures when he was here in '96. Both UBC and SFU were buzzing with Chomsky fever in the weeks before he arrived. It was a great time. He's a truly inspiring man. I miss those days. (sigh) I miss late nights, good beer, good conversation, and too many cigarettes in the pub basement.

I miss having discussions that don't revolve around diapers, or teething, or how to get my two year old son to stop picking his nose - if anyone has suggestions on this, I'd love to hear them btw.

How about another night out with me. I promise not to pick my nose and I will smoke as much as possible. I can make you smoke too.... and drink beer... just for one night. OK?

Yes, let's definitely get together. Mesa Luna this time, or some other hip latin joint! It will have to be quite soon, though, since hubby takes off on the 28th, and I'll be flying solo in April. Maybe in the next couple of weeks? No drinking or cigarettes for me, though, until Estella's a bit older. Besides, that would probably kill me. I might miss those days, but I sure don't miss the hangovers!
