While I was away from LJ....

mahoganyIn the last few weeks I have:
- Gone to a couple of concerts
Hugh Masekela, which was amazing
Salif Keita, which was just okay
- Read about 30 different parenting books. Of these, three were actually worth recommending:
Parenting from the Inside Out by Daniel Siegel
Mindsight also by Daniel Siegel
Connected Parenting by Jennifer Kolari
- Started learning to play the Djembe
- Built the first of a few raised beds in the backyard, and planted some heirloom peas, carrots, marigolds and strawberries.

Date: 2011-04-26 05:56 pm (UTC)It is truly amazing what space opens up. It gives our minds time to think. I think my creative side really needs space and unallocated time. Doing sweet FA for a day or two almost always leads to a burst of energy or inspiration .
I've missed LJ, too, but you know, I would take speaking to you on the phone over LJ any day! xoxo right back at you!
