mahoganyArggh! My car has blown a head gasket. It'll cost about $1100 to fix it unless the cylinder head is cracked, in which case, it will cost about $1600 + taxes, of course.
I finally found an awesome mechanic about a year before I left BC. It took me five years to find him, so I'm not feeling overly optimistic that I'll find someone good out here :-(
