Last night I had horrible nightmares about the earthquake hitting Vancouver. I have a huge fear of the earthquake happening at a time when I’m separated from my family. In my dream, our family was together (thankfully), but I was still terrified.
This is the one thing I hate about living here. It’s on a fault line. Who the hell builds a city on a fault line? Mild weather be damned. I literally live in fear of the earquake. Even though I’ve resigned myself to living here, I still have fantasies of moving elsewhere - preferrably somewhere that’s not an earthquake zone.
I know, I know, natural disasters happen everywhere, but gosh, when the earthquake finally hits, it’s going to decimate Vancouver.

Who knows when it will happen, but one thing is certain it is simply a question of time. Victoria will be much harder hit than Vancouver. As for the Tri-cities area, they are mostly on solid granite and far from the ocean, so little to be concerned about.
